Description - 

The Multifamily Energy Efficiency Program (MFEEP) encourages the adoption of energy-saving electric and gas appliances and technologies to lower energy consumption and expenses via two distinct routes: the prescriptive path and the custom path. Detailed guidance on each option, including the rates of incentives for applications filed from July 10, 2023, onwards, can be found in the Multifamily Energy Efficiency Program Manual.

Eligibility Criteria - 

This program is open to owners of existing multifamily residential properties with 5 or more units. New constructions do not qualify. Participants must be customers of Con Edison's gas and/or electric delivery services. For gas-related projects, eligibility excludes applicants under the SC-14 service class or those with negotiated contract services. Incentives cannot be claimed for measures previously incentivized by NYSERDA or any other organization. Before installation of equipment, applicants are required to permit a pre-installation inspection and must have obtained a Notice to Proceed. Projects involving significant renovations, such as a change in use, extensive rebuilding of an existing structure or space, or any construction that necessitates the building being unoccupied for 30 or more consecutive days, are ineligible for support.
